Road safety always comes first.
For road safety reasons, you should not handle your mobile phone, navigation system or other communication devices while driving.
Always park your vehicle safely and correctly before using the Parkunload App.
How to use Parkunload safely
To use Parkunload safely:
- Always park your vehicle before opening and using the app.
- Check the road signs and make sure you are allowed to park in the area.
- Start your parking session only when the vehicle is correctly parked.
- You can use the app from inside the vehicle provided that it is correctly parked and close to the parking zone signage.
- If you need to leave the vehicle to use the app, do so only from a safe place on the pavement, without obstructing pedestrians.
- Do not use the app while walking or crossing the street.
- Check that the zone selected in the app matches the zone indicated on the signage.
Do not use Parkunload while driving
Do not use Parkunload while the vehicle is moving.
Do not handle your phone:
- While driving.
- While stopped at a traffic light.
- While looking for a parking space.
- While carrying out a manoeuvre.
- In any other situation where using your phone could distract you.
If you need to use Parkunload, park the vehicle first in a permitted and safe location.
Check the zone before starting your parking
Before starting a parking session, check that the zone selected in the app matches the code shown on the parking zone signage.
Parkunload may use different technologies to help identify the parking zone, such as your device's location and Bluetooth.
However, always check that the zone shown in the app matches the signage next to your vehicle, especially when there are several nearby zones.
Keep your phone ready before parking
To avoid distractions, we recommend having your phone ready before starting your parking session and making any necessary configuration changes once the vehicle is parked.
If you use Bluetooth, location services or notifications for Parkunload, make sure the required permissions are correctly configured.
